Use an average that represents relevant page responses and assets. Consider whether images, scripts, API responses, and uncached resources are included in your expected transfer.
Does splitting traffic between variants double data transfer?
Not usually for a fixed visitor count, because each visitor generally sees one variant. Transfer may increase when the test adds heavier assets, extra requests, or less cacheable content.

How is bandwidth cost calculated?
Estimated tested page views are multiplied by transfer per page view, divided by 1,024 to estimate GB, and then multiplied by the bandwidth rate.
How is monthly hosting prorated?
The calculator multiplies the monthly hosting amount by test days divided by 30.
What is additional variant hosting?
It is the monthly cost of extra deployment infrastructure, server capacity, or a separate environment needed to run the second variant.
Can I enter zero for additional variant hosting?
Yes. Enter zero when the experiment can run on existing infrastructure without modeled extra hosting or capacity.
Can I enter zero for the bandwidth rate?
