Hybrid Work Cost Calculator
Estimate and compare your monthly work-related costs for remote, office and hybrid schedules.
Overview
A hybrid work schedule can change how much you spend each month. This calculator estimates your work-related costs based on how many days you go to the office, your commute and office-day spending, and your additional home working costs.
How it works
The calculator first works out how many days per week you work remotely by subtracting office days from total work days. It then calculates office-day costs by adding commuting and office spending, and remote-day costs using your home working estimate. These weekly costs are multiplied by the average number of weeks per month to show monthly totals for your current hybrid pattern and two comparison scenarios: fully office-based and fully remote.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Hybrid Work Cost Calculator estimate?
It estimates your monthly work-related costs for a hybrid schedule and compares them with fully office-based and fully remote arrangements.
What costs should I include in commute cost per office day?
You can include train or bus fares, fuel, parking, tolls or any other travel costs linked to going into the office for one day.
Should I include lunch in office meal costs?
Yes. This field is intended for extra office-day spending such as lunch, coffee or small incidental purchases that you would not usually make at home.
What counts as home working cost per day?
Typical examples include extra electricity, heating, cooling and a portion of internet use while working from home.
