eBay Buy It Now Profit Calculator
Estimate your profit, margin and break-even sale price for an eBay Buy It Now listing after fees, shipping and product costs.
Overview
Use this eBay Buy It Now Profit Calculator to estimate how much you may keep after selling an item. Enter your sale price, item cost, shipping charged, shipping cost, eBay fee rate, fixed fee and any other per-order costs to see your estimated profit and margin.
How it works
The calculator adds the item sale price and shipping charged to find the buyer's total payment. It then applies the fee percentage to that order total, adds any fixed fee, and combines these fees with your item cost, shipping cost and other expenses. Profit is the buyer's total payment minus all of those costs. Profit margin is profit divided by the buyer's total payment, shown as a percentage. The break-even sale price works backward from your costs and fee rate to estimate the minimum item price needed to avoid a loss.

Frequently asked questions
What does this eBay profit calculator estimate?
It estimates your profit, profit margin, total fees, total costs and break-even sale price for an eBay Buy It Now order based on the amounts you enter.
Should I include shipping charged to the buyer?
Yes. If the buyer pays shipping, include it so the calculator can estimate the full order amount and the fees applied to that amount.
What should I put in other costs?
You can include packaging materials, promoted listing fees, handling costs, inserts or any other per-sale expense not already covered elsewhere.
Does this calculator include taxes or refunds?
No. It is a simple estimate and does not automatically include sales tax, VAT, refunds, returns, disputes or chargebacks.
How is the break-even sale price calculated?
It estimates the item price needed so your total buyer payment covers all entered costs and fees, resulting in zero profit.
Why might my actual eBay fees be different?
Actual fees can vary by selling category, marketplace, seller status, promotions, store subscription and current eBay fee rules.
