eBay VAT Calculator
Calculate VAT on eBay sales or purchases by entering the item price, VAT rate and whether the price includes or excludes VAT.
Overview
Use this eBay VAT Calculator to work out the VAT portion of an item price, the net amount before VAT and the gross total after VAT. Enter the item price, choose whether that price includes or excludes VAT, add the VAT rate and quantity, and review the calculated values.
How it works
The calculator multiplies the item price by the quantity to get the line price. If your price includes VAT, it divides that total by 1 plus the VAT rate to find the net amount, and the difference is the VAT portion. If your price excludes VAT, it multiplies the total by 1 plus the VAT rate to find the gross amount, and the difference is the VAT to add.
How to use this calculator
- 1Enter the item price.
- 2Choose whether the price includes VAT or excludes VAT.
- 3Enter the VAT rate that applies to the sale or purchase.
- 4Add the quantity if you have more than one item.
- 5Review the net amount, VAT amount and gross total shown.
