Your Details

Overview

This hourly to salary calculator helps you estimate how much an hourly wage could translate to over a week, month and year. Enter your hourly rate, average hours per week, paid weeks per year and any overtime details to see an estimated gross salary.

How it works

The calculator multiplies your hourly rate by your regular weekly hours to estimate weekly pay. If you add overtime, it multiplies your hourly rate by the overtime multiplier and overtime hours, then adds that amount to regular weekly pay. Annual salary is estimated by multiplying total weekly pay by paid weeks per year, and monthly pay is the annual total divided by 12.

  3. 3Enter how many paid weeks you work each year.

Frequently asked questions

What does this hourly to salary calculator estimate?

It estimates gross weekly, monthly and annual pay from an hourly wage, based on your average hours worked, paid weeks per year and any overtime entered.

Does the calculator include overtime?

Yes. If you enter overtime hours and an overtime multiplier, the calculator adds estimated overtime pay to your regular weekly pay.

Is the annual salary before or after tax?

The estimate is before tax and before other deductions such as pension, insurance or benefit contributions.

Why is monthly pay an average?

Monthly pay is calculated by dividing annual pay by 12, so it shows an average month rather than exact payroll dates or varying month lengths.

What should I enter for paid weeks per year?

Use 52 if you are paid for the full year. Enter a lower number if you expect unpaid leave or unpaid gaps in work.

Can I use this for part-time work?

Yes. Enter your actual average hourly rate and weekly hours to estimate part-time weekly, monthly and annual pay.
