Social Media Share of Voice Calculator
Estimate your brand's social media share of voice compared with competitors using mention counts over a chosen period.
Overview
The Social Media Share of Voice Calculator helps you estimate how visible your brand is compared with competitors based on total social media mentions. Enter your brand mentions, competitor mentions, and optional positive mentions to see your share of conversation and a simple sentiment view.
How it works
This calculator adds all entered mentions to create a total market mention count. It then divides your brand mentions by that total to calculate share of voice as a percentage. It also calculates a positive mention rate by dividing positive mentions by your total mentions, and compares your mention count with the average of the competitors entered.
How to use this calculator
- 1Enter your brand's total social media mentions for the chosen period.
- 2Add mention counts for up to three competitors using the same data source and timeframe.
- 3Enter your positive mentions if you want a basic positive mention rate.
- 4Review your share of voice, total market mentions, and mention gap versus the competitor average.
