What does the calculator estimate?
It estimates filament grams, support and brim allowance, and approximate 1.75 mm filament length from simplified model settings.
Is the result the finished object's weight?
It estimates the filament needed for the print, including any selected extras. The final object alone may weigh less if supports or brims are removed.
Can I use the calculator before slicing?
Yes. It is intended for early planning from overall dimensions and expected print settings.

What dimensions should I use?
Enter the model's maximum overall length, width, and height in millimetres.
What does wall thickness mean here?
Use the combined shell thickness set by your slicer, rather than the width of one extrusion line.
How does infill affect weight?
Higher infill fills more of the estimated interior and raises the weight estimate.
Why is density needed?
Density converts estimated material volume into mass. Different filament materials can have different densities.
Accuracy and seasonal adjustment
How to interpret differences from actual prints.
How accurate is the estimate?
It is suitable for planning but simplified. A slicer generally gives a closer estimate because it uses the actual model geometry and toolpaths.
What is the seasonal storage adjustment?
It is an optional percentage for users who track a repeatable variation in their own storage or workflow. It is not required for normal dry filament.
Can I enter a negative seasonal adjustment?
Yes, if you have a measured reason to reduce your planning estimate. Otherwise, 0% is the neutral setting.
Why might the actual use be higher?
Top and bottom layers, supports, brims, rafts, purge waste, failed starts, and slicer settings can increase use.

No. The displayed length estimate is specifically based on 1.75 mm filament; the weight estimate still applies.
How accurate is the 3D print weight estimate?
It is an early planning estimate. Use your slicer's filament estimate for a closer prediction before an important print.
