Your Details

Overview

Use this eBay Seller Profit Calculator to estimate how much you may keep from a sale after item cost, shipping, eBay fees, promoted listing costs and estimated sales tax handling. It is useful for checking pricing before you list an item or accept an offer.

How it works

The calculator first estimates the buyer's total payment by adding the sale price, shipping charged and estimated sales tax. It then applies your eBay fee percentage to that buyer total and applies any promoted listing rate to the sale price. Finally, it subtracts your item cost, shipping cost and selling fees from the money you receive before tax remittance to estimate net profit and profit margin.

How to use this calculator

  1. 1Enter your item sale price.
  2. 2Add the shipping amount charged to the buyer.
  3. 3Enter your item cost and actual shipping cost.
  4. 4Input your estimated eBay fee rate and any promoted listing rate.
  5. 5Add an estimated sales tax rate if you want fees to reflect tax-inclusive buyer totals.
  6. 6Review your estimated profit, margin and total costs.
