Shopify Profit Calculator
Estimate your Shopify profit per order and total profit after product costs, shipping, payment fees and ad spend.
Overview
A Shopify profit calculator helps you estimate how much you keep from each sale after product cost, shipping, payment processing, advertising and monthly platform costs. It is useful for checking whether your pricing and acquisition costs leave enough margin in your business.
How it works
The calculator first works out your payment fee per order using the percentage fee and any fixed transaction fee. It then adds your product cost, shipping cost and advertising cost to find total variable cost per order. Next, it spreads your monthly Shopify and app costs across your expected monthly orders to estimate fixed cost per order. Net profit per order is your selling price minus both variable costs and allocated fixed costs, and profit margin is that net profit divided by your selling price.

Frequently asked questions
What does this Shopify profit calculator estimate?
It estimates profit per order and monthly profit after product cost, shipping, payment fees, ad spend and monthly Shopify-related costs.
Does this calculator include Shopify subscription fees?
Yes. You can enter your monthly Shopify and app costs, and the calculator spreads them across your monthly orders.
Should I include ad spend in product profitability?
If you use paid traffic to get sales, including average ad cost per order gives a more realistic view of your true profit.
Does this include taxes or duties?
No. This is a simplified profit estimate, so taxes, duties, refunds and chargebacks are not included unless you factor them into your costs.
What is the difference between gross profit and net profit here?
Gross profit per order subtracts only variable costs. Net profit per order also subtracts a share of your monthly Shopify and app costs.
Can I use this for dropshipping or print on demand?
Yes. It works for dropshipping, print on demand and stocked products as long as you enter realistic per-order costs.
